TEXT:
John 14:1-3
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions…”
1. LIFE ON EARTH IS TEMPORARY
The Bible reminds us in James 4:14 that life is like a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.
No matter how long we live, this world is not our permanent home. We come with nothing, and we leave with nothing. Wealth, fame, and possessions cannot follow us into eternity.
2. JESUS PREPARED A HOME FOR HIS CHILDREN
Jesus said:
“In my Father’s house are many mansions…”
This means heaven is real. It is a place of peace, joy, and eternal rest. There will be no sickness, pain, sorrow, or death there anymore.
Today, while we grieve, we rejoice because we believe that our mansion is well prepared for us.
What a beautiful assurance — to leave this troubled world and enter eternal peace with the Savior.
3. A GOOD NAME NEVER DIES
Though we may no longer see physically, the memories, kindness, love, and impact remain alive in our hearts.
Ecclesiastes 7:1 says:
“A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.”
A life well lived becomes a testimony after death. Let us just live our life base on how but celebrate the legacy left behind.
4. THE GREATEST QUESTION: ARE YOU READY?
Death is a reminder to every living soul that one day, we all shall stand before God.
The important question is not how long we live, but where we will spend eternity.
CONCLUSION
As we say farewell to live of our life, let us hold onto God’s promises. Though the body sleeps, the soul lives on in eternity. No matter how long live on eternity must be our focus, let us all remember that one day, we shall live dis immortal body.
